The new generation youths always crave forward to go after a career full of glamour and adventure. One such career that can be said to have both these aspects is that of the career in space science. This space science is now not only circumscribed to the space. The knowledge of space science is now also put to use in weather forecasting, locating mineral reserves, television broadcasting, telecommunications and other GPS systems with the help of satellites and other such space technologies. The concept of space science is generally concerned with astronomical science but now has also been influenced and bestowed with the concepts of Physics, Mathematics etc. which has also aggrandized the various potentials in the research and development. The various process and technical phase involved with such a space project or space missions are carried out by appointing many numbers of scientists and engineers in the various departments concerning it. Additionally, some other subjects where one can focus to have a better chance of pursuing a career in space science are applied physics, electronics, computer science and engineering etc. The very first institute that was setup in India to impart courses in space science is the Center for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific which was established in the year 1995. It was one of the first of its kind and was fully under the governance of the Government of India.
